FAQ

  1. There is a smell on the cutting board, and the colour seems to seep like water drainage

After sanding the cutting board, the unique aroma can arise during the first coconut oil and second grape seed oil treatment. There may be some color bleeding due to the sanding process, so please use it after washing. This is a characteristic of teak wood, and the reddish-brown resin helps prevent the product from cracking and warping.

  2. Each cutting board has a different colour. Is it because they are not treated with oil?

Due to the nature of natural solid wood, the colour, pattern, and weight may vary from product to product. The variation in colour and texture is not because of inadequate oil treatment.

  3. There are speckled and bluish patterns on the cutting board.

The bluish pattern you see on the cutting board is not mold; it's the natural pattern of the wood. The cutting board is made by cutting and sanding the whole log repeatedly, and the bluish pattern is the wood's intrinsic design.

  4. The size and position of the logo are slightly different on each cutting board.

The brand logo stamp is manually applied, so slight variations in its position can occur. There might also be differences in the clarity of the logo.

  5. There are tiny cracks on the cutting board.

These are not cracks but what we call 'knots.' Knots indicate the places where branches grew out of the tree. They are not defects, so you can use the cutting board without worry.

  6. The colour of the cutting board changes as I use it.

Due to the nature of solid wood, the colour may deepen over time. This is a natural phenomenon, and the color change doesn't mean that the cutting board has reached the end of its lifespan.
